Josh LeFevre

Josh is a professional academic coach for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students. Additionally, he coaches early career professionals and supports them as they transition to professional roles. He brings over four years of direct coaching experience to bear at helping students develop ways to tackle challenges and meet their academic, professional, and life goals.

Academic coaching is a blend of life coaching and self-mastery. Josh believe success comes through helping individuals better understand themselves and their own mental models to discover solutions and develop self-accountability for achieving their dreams. In short, his approach focuses on guiding individuals to become better versions of themselves. As a professional designer, he works to help clients design the right solution for them and a path to achieve their goals.

Josh served as an Academic Coach at Carnegie Mellon University where he worked closely with TC Eley and Mike Poljak to research the impacts of academic coaching. Through research, the academic coaching program was able to develop their one-on-one coaching approach, metrics to measure success, and create a support system to help students and early career professionals succeed.

As a design consultant and cognitive science researcher, Josh integrates these practices to help people develop the skills to reach their goals and become who they want to be both personally, academically, and professionally.
